missingWrote a review on Dec 21historic architectureart adorned hallscramped bathroom
The stunning architecture and historic lobby capture a unique charm, taking you back to the golden age of Hollywood with vintage pictures lining the walls. The cinder block hallways adorned with artwork provide an eclectic vibe, perfect for a relaxed wander.
Bypassing the ambiance, the hotel's facilities missed the mark, notably with the pool being closed during my stay. The room we were given narrowly fit the essentials, too small for comfort, and the bathroom layout was cramped, resembling a tight fit rather than a relaxing area. Plus, the Wi-Fi was practically non-existent in the room, forcing me to hike to the lobby for a weak connection—something I prefer to skip while on the road. Dining options seemed limited, with mediocre food and a distinct lack of local flavors.

This hotel is a charming throwback with a cozy atmosphere full of history. The location is appealing, and the staff were friendly. However, the bathroom was quite small, and I encountered some cleanliness issues with the bedding, which unfortunately dampened the overall experience.

missingWrote a review on Dec 02historic hotelexcellent foodrestrictive restroom policyuninviting hallwaysdull restaurant
The historical charm is captivating, featuring walls adorned with photos of legendary Hollywood figures from the past. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the lively 49ers bar offers great cocktails. However, the lobby restroom policy is overly restrictive towards non-guests, which can be off-putting, and the dark, cinder block hallways felt a bit uninviting compared to the vibrant lobby decor.

I really loved the vintage feel of the room! It had an old record player that just made me feel like I was really stepping back in time. Plus, the staff was super nice, they even checked in on me to make sure I was settled in okay!
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the experience, it was still acceptable.
